Jamaican Bob

Is It Rolling, Bob? A reggae tribute to Bob Dylan has been released by Sanctuary/RAS Records. The CD was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica last year and includes songs by Apple Gabriel, Sizzla, Gregory Isaacs, Toots Hibbert and Michael Rose.

"Bob Dylan has always been my favourite artiste, he was a voice of the oppressed in the 1960s just as Bob Marley was a voice of the oppressed in the 1970s," Gary Himelfarb, founder of RAS records, told the Jamaican Observer.

The album injects a little "bump 'n' grind" into Dylan's spartan sound, according to Andrew Gilchrist of the Guardian.
